The Islamabad and Rawalpindi Police along with the FC personnel on Saturday morning launched crackdown against the protestors staging sit-in at Faizabad after the deadline given by the district administration to protesters to clear the road expired at midnight.

Around 2,000-2,500 protesters from of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah had blocked the Faizabad Interchange used by hundreds of thousands of commuters daily since November 6, causing great inconvenience to dwellers of the sister cities and visitors from other places.
