Three TTP operatives arrested in Multan

LAHORE:- The provincial counterterrorism department Wednesday claimed to have arrested three terror suspects during an intelligence-based operation in Multan. The suspects were identified by police as Asif, Ata Ullah and Asim. The Multan CTD team also seized explosives and firearms from their possession. The latest security operation was conducted near Muzaffargarh road in Multan. A CTD spokesman said the arrested terrorists were members of the Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan. “They were planning to attack a religious gathering in Multan,” the spokesman said. The suspects were shifted to a police facility for further interrogation.–Staff Reporter
