Karachiites all set to celebrate Eid-i-Milad

KARACAHI – All arrangements have been finalised to celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Friday 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal with religious fervour and enthusiasm throughout the city.

In order to maintain peace on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), law enforcement agencies have finalised security arrangements for the day while the traffic police had also confirmed the traffic diversions in this regard. For the safety of the citizen and participants of the procession especially arrangement has been made and major hospitals were asked to stay on high alert.

Foolproof security has been ordered for the procession which will be taken out from different parts of city and culminate at Nishtar Park Karachi. Meanwhile, Home department Sindh has also suggested Ministry of Interior to suspend cellular and internet services in Karachi, Hyederabad, Sukkur and others during the day to avoid any untoward incident.

Moreover, different religious parties will participate in the processions and Milad rallies, including Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST), Sunnit Tehreek (ST), Jamat Ahle Sunnat , Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) , JUP (Central) , Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran, Anjuman-e-Nojawanan-e-Islam and Nizam-e-Mustafa Party.

The religious and political parties’ leaders in their messages felicitated the people of the nation on the occasion of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi. Shedding light on the different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), they appealed the people to maintain sectarian harmony, love and brotherhood.

Furthermore, as a part of the preparation, mosques, streets, roads and buildings are being decorated with buntings, banners and fancy lights. A number of temporary stalls have already been established in many key roads of the city where people are busy buying badges, stickers, flags, buntings and others.

At night the city is presenting a bridal-like look while at major thoroughfares and places, including Purani Numaish, Golimar and Nazimabad Chowrangi, Liaquatabad and other camps have been established along with the display of models of Khana-e-Kabad and Masjid-e-Nabwi.

Similarly, various organizations have also set up their stalls where Naat-e-Rasool is being played to honour Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On the day Milad, procession scheduled to mark the event while various social, cultural, literary and religious organizations of have chalked out different programmes keeping in view the significance of the occasion. Following the event KMC claimed to have all set to facilitate the participants of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal procession.

KMC spokesperson said that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and District Administration has made special arrangements including cleanliness work, lighting and fumigation at route of main procession, all mosques and other places of the city.
