Ex-PM Nawaz summons another PML-N session on Monday

Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a session of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Islamabad on Monday.

According to reports, the meeting is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Minister of State for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar.

The PML-N leadership is expected to discuss matters pertaining to party’s future and other organisational issues.

Reports also said that Nawaz is expected to travel to London on December 5.

On Saturday, the ruling PML-N announced the 109 members of its Central Working Committee (CWC) and 27- members of Central Executive Committee (CEC).

Both Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz were announced to be a part of 27-member CEC which only contains the top tier of PML-N leadership. Other leaders include Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, former interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, Parvez Rasheed, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
