110 medical grads get degrees

LAHORE – The Shalamar Medical & Dental College awarded degrees to 110 graduates at its 3rd convocation on Sunday.

Chief Guest Abdul Razzaq Dawood distributed medals to distinguished students. The best graduate of the session, Dr Shahzeb Shahzad, was awarded degree and gold medal by the chief guest. Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences Prof Faisal Masood addressed the convocation.  On this occasion, the graduates also took a pledge.

The trustee, Shahid Hussain, said that Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences had been providing quality healthcare services to the population of Lahore and suburbs and now preparing doctors and nursing staff on merit. Principal of Shalamar Medical & Dental College Prof M Zahid Bashir congratulated the graduates. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Chaudhry Ahmad Saeed, Member of the Board of Trustees Syed Babar Ali, Ibrar Mumtaz, Shahbaz-ud-Din Chaudhry, Munir Chaudhry, Mian Altaf, Muhammad Saleem, Chief Executive of Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences Brig (Retired) Anis Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer of the Shalamar Hospital Brig (R) Muhammad Naseem Ijaz, faculty, doctors and parents of the students were also present on the occasion.
