JKNF concerned about Kashmiri leaders safety

MIRPUR (AJK)-Expressing serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri prisoners including its occupied Kashmir-based Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan, the freedom-loving strong political outfit – the Jammu Kashmir National Front (JKNF) has said that beating and thrashing prisoners in jails is an uncivilised act and hence unacceptable in any form.
JKNF Vice Chairman Altaf Hussain Wani said while talking to reporters here the other day. He said that thrashing prisoners most of them Kashmiris in Tihar jail has put the lives of Nayeem Amad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Mairajul Din Kalwal, Shahidul Islam, Bita Karatte, Shahid Yousuf, Javed Ahmad, Kamran Yousuf, Zahoor Watali and others in danger.
He said that prolonging Nayeem Khan and others incarceration in the infamous Tihar jail is the most undemocratic way to silence the political opponents. He expressed serious concern over the failing health of Nayeem Khan who is not being provided any sort of medical aid. Talking about the Kashmiri prisoners in other Indian jails, Mr Wani said that Kashmiris have to face not only the hardships of jails but also the cruelty of jail authorities. Even the criminals of the said jails think that troubling Kashmiri political prisoners is their right. Wani stressed upon immediate shifting of all Kashmiri prisoners to the valley to ensure their safety. Stating that New Delhi is using cruel tactics against the genuine political leadership of Kashmiri people, the JKNF leader said that New Delhi is using its institutions to revenge the freedom-loving Kashmiri leaders.
