Pakistan pursuing zero-tolerance policy against illicit drugs

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq says Pakistan is promoting regional cooperation to counter illicit drugs, reported Radio Pakistan.

He was addressing International Conference of Parliamentarians against Drugs in Moscow on Monday.

The Speaker said illicit drugs are a common challenge and parliamentarians have a critical role to play in the fight against drugs through awareness and legislation.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Pakistan is one of the most affected transit states and the nation has been pursuing a zero-tolerance policy towards illicit drugs.
