Sattar hopes MQM-P to win NA seat in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS – Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Dr Farooq Sattar has expressed the hope that the party will win the National Assembly (NA) seat from Mirpurkhas in the next general elections after 28 years because of the spirit of people of the city.

He was addressing a large public rally at different spots of the city such as Market Chowk, Gharibabad, Hirabad and Colony Chowk on Monday.

Earlier, he and party’s other leaders were brought to Market Chowk in the form of a large rally.

Carrying banners and flags, participants of the rally were raising slogans in favour of MQM-P.

Sattar said that though conspiracies were hatched and operations were conducted on various occasions to snatch the ‘Mohajirs’ mandate from MQM-P, but the former always proved that they could not give their mandate to any other party.

He said that people of the city were with the MQM-P not only in the past, but they were with the party at present and would remain so in future also.

MQM-P chief said that main purpose of his politics was to bring Urdu speaking and Sindhi speaking youth on one platform, so that they could develop an understanding, and peace could prevail in the province.

He said that MQM-P wanted rule of merit and justice for everyone in Sindh as well as in entire Pakistan.

He reiterated that MQM-P was the party of those people whose forefathers had founded Pakistan. “And we will save the country from any disaster,” he resolved.

Farooq vowed that cities of Sindh would be cleaned after Dec 8.

He also pledged to make Pakistan a developed and civilized country.

He said that he would announce the date of a public gathering in Mirpurkhas at a gathering in Hyderabad on Dec 8.

He thanked all those people, who participated in the rally, belonging to various ethnic backgrounds.

Those who also spoke on the occasion included Deputy Convener/Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Amir Khan, Senior Deputy Convener, member Rabita committee, Shabbir Ahmed Kaim Khani and District Organiser Mujibul Haq.
