ACE tightens noose around corrupt officials
SIALKOT-The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has tightened noose around 67 fugitive officials wanted in various corruption cases in Gujranwala Division.
ACE Punjab Director General Muzaffar Ali Ranjha has given the final deadline of December 31, 2017 to all the ACE circle officers in Gujranwala Region to ensure the early arrest of as many as 67 fugitive proclaimed offenders (POs) wanted by ACE in different corruption cases.
ACE Sialkot Deputy Director Waseem Akhtar said that the special directions had also been issued to confiscate the properties of such fugitives in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts with the help of revenue department and courts. The ACE has also provided special complete data of these fugitives to their respective police stations.
He said that 19 officials of Local Government Department, 9 officials of Revenue Department, seven officials of Health Department, six officials of the lower courts, six officials of the Police Department, four officials of school education department and 16 other people are included in the 67 proclaimed offenders.
It was learnt that some of the POs have escaped abroad and the ACE was contacting with Interpol to ensure their early arrest.

Commissioner M Asif said that the promotion of the games was vital for proper physical and mental growth of children. He said that good physical and mental health creates positive thoughts for a healthy society.
He was addressing a launching ceremony of the annual sports gala 2017 at Govt Murray College Sialkot. He urged the parents and teachers to play a pivotal role in motivating their children towards games. Earlier, he inaugurated 10-day Annual Sports Gala 2017 at Govt Murray College Sialkot.
Principal Javaid Akhtar said that students from Sialkot district’s 25 colleges are participating in this annual sports gala.
