Foreign reserves reach $18.7 billion

KARACHI:- The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $18,744.9m on

November 30. Foreign reserves held by the SBP stood at $12,660.5m and net foreign reserves held by commercial banks are $6,084.4 million. During the week ending 30th November, SBP’s reserves decreased by $887 million to $12,660.5m, due to external debt and other official

payments. Furthermore, SBP received $2,500.0m on December 05 as proceeds from Pakistan sovereign bonds and Pakistan International Sukuk, after which SBP’s reserves stood at $14,883.1 million, and total liquid foreign reserves at US$20,986.4M. –Staff Reporter
