Op against sale of carbonated drinks in schools

LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority starting operation against sale of carbonated cold drinks in schools, sealed 13 cafeterias of different schools of the province. According to an Additional Director General of the PFA,  as many as 589 schools were checked and served notices to  314 school canteens owners while the teams imposed fines on 12 owners. The teams sealed three canteens in Rawalpindi, two in Gujranwala and three in Jhang.

OPC weekly meeting

Due to the intervention of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, 15 properties of expatriate Pakistanis, worth Rs. 57 million have been got retrieved from illegal occupants during the last week. This was informed by Vice Chairperson OPC, Shaheen Khalid Butt while presiding over the weekly meeting of officers. Chairman Public Facilitation Committee OPC Sajid Chaudary, DG Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari, Additional DG Agha Yousaf, Directors Raja Zubair, Ishrat Ullah Niazi and other seniors officers attended the meeting.–Staff Reporter/APP

 Shaheen Khalid Butt said that the properties situated in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Chiniot Districts were under illegal occupation. The OPC with the help of relevant District overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) got the said properties vacated and handed over to their owners, he added.–A
