Education key to progress

KHAIRPUR – Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah visited Govt Girls Degree College, Sukkur and Govt Islamia Arts, Sciences & Commerce College, Sukkur to inspect ongoing annual examinations 2017.

Talking to the appearing candidates, Prof Dr Parveen Shah said the students could play their pivotal role in the nation building. Education is the key of change, progress and development. The developed nations owing to proper utilisation of human resource have reached on the heights of success, he held.

VC advised the candidates to firmly believe in merit and competency because this era is the era of excellence. Dr Shah also directed the students to perform their duties with enthusiasm and commitment.

She told that copy culture has weakened the fabric of merit and quality education. The students should refrain from unfair means.

VC directed the controller examinations to take proper steps for the provision of proper seating arrangements for candidates, cleanliness and other allied facilities with the collaboration of college administration. Prof Dr Taj Muhammad Lashari, Media Coordinator, Syed Mehdi Shah Rashdi, Controller of Examinations, Imran Ali Soomro, Ali Ahmed Kandhar and others were accompanied with the vice chancellor during the visit.

OFFICE SUPERINTENDED ARRESTED 

Town Committee Kotdiji office superintendent was arrested for issuing fake appointment orders on Friday.

According to details, anti corruption police raided town committee Kotdiji and arrested office superintendent Muhammad Bachal Solangi and brought him to lockup.

Solangi was arrested for issuing fake orders of appointments letters above 150 people in town committee on different posts since 2011.
