MQM-P MNA Salman Baloch joins PSP
KARACHI – Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch Friday announced joining Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP). Salman made this announcement during a press conference at PSP headquarters Pakistan House along with PSP chairman Mustafa Kamal and President Anis Qaimkhani.
Speaking to the media men, Salman said that after the incident of August 22, party members accepted Dr Farooq Sattar as party leader; even he was not capable to run the party affairs. I was punished over raising voice against the irregularities in the party said Salaman adding that Sattar‘s led MQM is fooling the people with unjustified stories and focusing to make money through corruption. I might have stay home after being expelled from MQM-P but during my seventeen years political carriers I worked on the agenda to serve masses and this was the reason I decided to join Kamal‘s led PSP, explained former MQM‘s leader.
He alleged that MQM-P convener Dr Farooq Sattar is still in contact with London based leadership of MQM while all the MQM-P MNAs, MPAs and other key leaders were in contact with PSP‘s chairman Mustafa Kamal with a desire to join PSP. He said that it is unfortunate the Dr Farooq Sattar despite of any pressure took decision against me and expelled me from the party without stating actually reasons.
On the occasion PSP Chairman Mustafa Kamal welcomed Salman Mujahid in the party and said that the political journey started on March 3 is underway with pace. People from all walks of lives were joining PSP ranks.
Commenting on MQM-P Hyderabad rally, Kamal said that I am surprised that a party that enjoys the Mayor slot is showing public power in Hyderabad. These all efforts were being made by MQM-P leadership to continue its corruption based politics, he added. He alleged that MQM-P is using state machinery for the success of its public rally and it should be noted that tenders were given to various people by Mayor Hyderabad for the installations of flags and banners. He informed that he will leave for Lahore soon to hold a meeting with the Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Tahirul Qadri.
It is pertinent to mention here that Salman Mujahid Baloch was elected from NA-239, Keamari, in the 2013 general elections and in month of October, Salman developed difference with MQM-Pakistan leadership.
Salman pointed out about the emergence of the groups in party and also leveled serious allegations against MQM-Pakistan convener Farooq Sattar.
He claimed that Sattar is indirectly in contact with MQM founder Altaf Hussain, adding that Sattar even approached Pak Sarzameen Party Head Mustafa Kamal and asked for his help.
In reaction, MQM-P decision making body revoke the party membership of Salman Mujahid Baloch and asked him to resign from the National Assembly seat.
