JI’s million march against US on 17th

KARACHI :  Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Saturday announced to take out a million march on December 17 in Karachi against the United States’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israeli capital.

He was addressing a protest demonstration, staged by the JI Karachi women wing at New MA Jinnah Road.

A large number of women from all walks of life participated in the demonstration and expressed their solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners, inscribed with slogans against the US and Israel.

Addressing the charged protesters, the JI Ameer demanded the coalition forces of Muslim countries to state their position on the issue.

He said that the matter of Baitul Muqqadas is not a sentimental issue, but indeed tens of thousands of Muslims across the world are ready to sacrifice even their lives for the freedom of their first Qibla. He said that Karachi was the heart of the Umma and more than a million of citizens would take to the streets on 17th to convey a message to their Palestinian brothers that the entire Muslims across the world were with them.

He criticized the US President for his controversial decision and said that Donald Trump would prove himself the Gorbachev of the US.

The JI chief further said that not only the global community, but the people of US had also rejected the decision.

He said that the Muslims need another Salahuddin Ayubi who would liberate the first Qibla of Muslims.
