Shehbaz promises Orange Line before time

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to complete Orange Line in time.

During his visit to the project site Saturday, the chief minister inspected construction and reviewed progress on civil, mechanical and electrical works while he also inspected various stations.  He also visited underground station near Jain Mandir. Steering committee chief Khawaja Ahmed Hassan and other high-ups were present on the occasion.

Talking to contractors, staff and officials concerned, the chief minister said they should leave no stone unturned to complete the project in time.

He stressed the need for joint struggle to complete such a public welfare project. “We are taking every step for the betterment of people and this is unique project of its type that will provide honourable and modern travelling facility to the common person. This project will change transport culture and the common man will be able to reach their destination with honour and comfort,” he added.

He said this will be trend-setter project for the modern travelling facilities in Pakistan. He said this is the biggest and unique project of Pakistan’s history and this is the project of the whole Pakistan. He said water should be sprinkled along the route of the under-construction route to keep commuter save from dust. He directed the CTO to make best efforts to provide alternate routes to citizens along under-construction sites.
