Black coats heap scorn on Trump’s proclamation
BAHAWALNAGAR/ SARGODHA/TOBA TEK SINGH-Almost all the tehsil and district bar associations across Punjab on Monday observed strike on the call given by the Punjab Bar Council to condemn American President Trump’s announcement regarding recognition of Jerusalem as Israel capital and shifting of US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
In Bahawalnagar, the District Bar Association observed strike in protest against American President Trump’s announcement regarding recognition of Jerusalem as Israeli capital and shifting of US embassy to the city. The lawyers boycotted courts proceedings and held a general house meeting. On the occasion, the DBA office-bearers stressed the need for unity of the Muslim Ummah, especially against Donald Trump unjustified and biased anti-Muslims policies.
They urged the Muslim countries rulers to declare a clear line of action to protect Muslims dignity and honour in the face of multifarious challenges in the world. Meanwhile, lawyers of Haroonabad Tehsil Bar Association took to street against the Trump’s decision. The protest rally was led by Ijaz Gujjar. The protest rally started from Tehsil Courts complex and after marching through Quaid-e-Azam Road, culminated in front of Municipal Committee Office.
On the occasion, lawyers representative Ijaz Gujjar and Azania Ali strongly condemned US President Trump’s statement, in which he declared Baitul Muqadas the capital of Israel. They said that American recognition of Israel as state will provoke extremism. Pakistan rejected American stance, while other Muslim countries should suspended diplomatic ties with the US. They declared through this step, Trump’s anti-Muslims policies and hate against Muslims has exposed, which is condemnable.
In Toba Tek Singh, the District Bar Association observed strike on the call of Punjab Bar Council to condemn US President Donald Trump’s announcement regarding shifting the US embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds. A general body meeting of the bar was also held with its President Chaudhry Irshad Ahmad in the chair where speakers urged the Muslim countries to unite on a single platform to confront the conspiracies of anti-Islam forces. Strike was also observed by the lawyers of tehsil bar association Kamalia, Gojra and Pirmahal.
In Sargodha, lawyers observed strike to blast American President Donald Trump’s decision on recognition of Jerusalem as Israel capital. Lawyers the District Bar Association boycotted the court proceedings to express their anger against “what they described” a decision that fuel extremism and terrorism in the entire world. The DBA office-bearers strongly condemned the US President decision and termed it against Islam and Muslims. Meanwhile litigants faced difficulties due to the strike while hearing in 20 persons murder case was also adjourned till January 15 by the Anti-Terrorism Court. The ATC, however, summoned eye-witnesses in 20 persons murder incident occurred at the shrine of a sufi in village 95/NB on next date of hearing.
