Four more gold for Army in taekwondo event

ISLAMABAD – Army athletes grabbed four more gold medals on the third day of the 12th Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship on Monday.

In U-54kg male fin weight, Shahzaib (Balochistan) won gold, Shafeeq (Army) silver and M Owais (KP) bronze. In U-58kg fly weight, Haroon Khan (Wapda) gold, Hameed Ullah silver and Hussain Anjum bronze. In U-63kg bantam weight, Mehmood Khan (Wapda) won gold, Ashfaq silver and Bashir bronze, in U-68kg feather weight, Ijaz Ahmed (Army) won gold, Jibran silver and Rehmat bronze. In U-74kg light weight, Salman (Army) won gold, M Bilal silver and Razi-ud-din bronze. In U-80kg welter weight, Syed Afnan (Army) won gold, Rab Nawaz silver and Abdul Khaliq bronze. In females U-46 fin weight, Suidra Batool (Army),  won gold, Noor silver and Sumera bronze.

KP Minister Revenue Sardar Ali Ahmed Gandapur and Secretary Sport, Tourism, Culture and Youth Affairs Gilgit-Baltistan Waqar Ali Khan were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.–Staff Reporter
