Pistol, magazine recovered from air passenger

RAWALPINDI – The Airports Security Force arrested a passenger and recovered a pistol and magazine from his luggage at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, sources said on Tuesday.

The ASF handed over the passenger to Police Station Airport who registered a case against him. The accused was identified as Manzoor Hussain, hailing from Dhok Kashmirian, Rawalpindi.

According to the sources, the ASF officials were performing routine duty at the airport when they spotted a suspicious passenger trying to board on Islamabad-Saudi Arabia flight.

The ASF took the passenger into custody and conducted a search of his luggage. During the search, the ASF officials found a 30-bore pistol and a magazine hid in the luggage, they said.

The passenger was arrested on the spot by the ASF and later given into custody of Airport police.
