Mehfil-e-Milad held at Speaker NA residence

islamabad  – A mehfil-e-milad was held at residence of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday. The sacred event was hosted by wife of the NA Speaker Reema Ayaz Sadiq.  

The spouses of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and services chiefs, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and women ministers, parliamentarians and other prominent ladies from different walks of life were also present on the occasion.  

With an aura of spirituality surrounding the air, the women orators recited the Holy Quran, hamds and naats. Sermons on the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) were delivered, focusing the seerat and teachings of the last prophet. 

The audience was told that sayings and deeds of Holy Prophet (PBUH) presented a complete human rights’ charter and the world could truly attain peace by reverting to the principles espoused by the humanity’s greatest benefactor.  

It was highlighted that it was the duty of every Muslim to follow the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and observe true, glowing and great lessons of Islam. They called for adopting the teachings of Prophet (PBUH) for eternal success and blessings in the life here and hereafter. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan National Council of the Arts arranged mehfil-e-milad for women in connection with the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.  

Renowned female naatkhwans of Rawalpindi and Islamabad including Sobiya, Iram Nazakat, Anum Nazakat, Zuhra Abassi and others presented hamd-o-naat and offered darood o salam in the event held on Wednesday. 

Religious scholar’s highlighted different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with special emphasis on the philosophy of love for humanity and dignity and stressed for adherence to the commandments of Quran and Hadith to overcome the present day problems. 

Prayers were also offered for progress, prosperity and peace in the country. A large number of women from the twin cities attended the Mehfil-e-Milad. The participants lauded the PNCA for organising the Mehfil-e-Milad for the women of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
