PPP not to allow delay in next general election: Kaira

President Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central Punjab chapter, Qamar Zaman Kaira, has said that the Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who throughout his life supported establishment, is now raising finger on PPP but PPP will not allow anyone to delay next general election.

Talking to media persons at People’s party secretariat in Lahore on Wednesday, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the Supreme Court (SC) has declared Nawaz Sharif corrupt and he himself should distance away from politics.

The PPP leader while commenting over the country’s economy said that the government has run the economy with artificial steps that has been exposed by the recent devaluation of rupee against dollar.

He turned down Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) objections over meeting of party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari with chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahirul Qadri and said Zardari did not take undemocratic step as PPP supported the PAT demand of CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah resignation.

Responding over US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel capital, Kaira said that US president step will damage the world peace.
