Special teams to monitor on-duty cops

Islamabad – Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani constituted special teams to conduct surprise checking of policemen deployed on various duties. In his address to police officials on Thursday, he said that it was prime responsibility of the police to ensure protection to the lives and property of the people, adding that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. The SSP urged the police officials to perform their duties with honesty and ensure ‘fair earnings’ for their children. He said that cops showing good performance would be encouraged while those involved in sluggish policing affairs would not be tolerated.

He directed for introducing effective patrolling plan in the city and taking action against suspected vehicles, motorcyclists and anti-social elements. The SSP said that special squads and teams would be constituted and these would submit their reports with high-ups on continuous basis.

He said that all police officials would have to perform with honesty and avoid wasting time during the duties.
