Music without Borders at Alhamra

LAHORE – A musical night titled ‘Music without Borders’ was held on Friday featuring the performances of polish and Pakistani artistes at Alhamra Arts Council in collaboration with the Embassy of Poland.

The concert featured a fusion session by Maria Ruminska, Kamil Roginski and Qawwal Imran Aziz Mian. People from all walks of life attended the musical night and appreciated the performance of the musician.

Maria Ruminska is a famous polish vocalist, composer, arranger, multi instrumentalist. She has been composing music for over 30 drama theatre spectacles all over Poland. Kamil Roginski is a Polish multi instrumental musician, composer and a musical instrument maker. He has been creating world music as Rivendell Orchestra since 1993. Imran Aziz Mian is a son of qawwali legend Aziz Mian Imran. He has mesmeric qualities when it comes to the recitation of Sufi Poetry. He is equally the master of vocals but also a philosopher and a great poet.Alhamra Arts Council Executive Director Capt Atta Muhammad khan said, “Lahore Arts Council has the history to promote the cultural activities to encourage the peace worldwide via cultural exchange.  ‘Music without border’ is an opportunity for the people of Lahore to become familiar with the mesmerizing diversity of Poland’s music,” he said.
