Two gunned down in Mughalpura

Unidentified gunmen killed two friends in Mughalpura police limits Saturday morning. Eyewitnesses told the police that two armed motorcyclists intercepted Nouman and Ali in Ram Garh area of Mughalapora and sprayed a volley of bullets. As result, they sustained critical wounds, the eyewitnesses said, adding that the wounded were taken to hospital where doctors pronounced them dead. Nouman and Ali were going to a market when they came under attack.Police record show the deceased were allegedly involved in drug dealing. ‘Nobody can now point finger at Imran’

PTI central leader and former governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said the Supreme Court has declared PTI Chairman Sadiq and Ameen and now nobody can point finger at him.  The next government in the country will be formed by Imran Khan who is out to hold all corrupt people accountable, Sarwar said while talking to party workers from Shahdara who called on him on Saturday. The former governor said PTI was struggling for change in the country to purge it of corruption. To that end, he said, all patriotic Pakistanis were united under the banner of PTI. He said the PTI would win the next election and put the country on the path of progress and development. He said the corrupt had no future in Pakistan and in the next elections; people would reject them outright. –Staff Reporter


Call for unity

Tanzeem al-Akhwan is organising a mass meeting in connection of birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at Nasser Bagh today. A large number of the followers of Silsala Naqashbandia Awaisia will attend the event.  Tanzeem chief Abdul Qadeer Awan to address the gathering and highlight Islamic teachings. Talking to the media Saturday, Abdul Qadeer said the unity among Muslims was the solution of all the problems. He urged the religious scholars of different schools of thought to unite their followers and supporters on commonalities rather to invoke the minor differences among different sects. He said the US move to accept Jerusalem as Israel capital was matter of grave concern and showed the helplessness of Muslim world.
