Kashmiri leader’s death anniversary today

MIRPUR (AJK) –  The Kashmiri people will observe 50th death anniversary of eminent Kashmiri leader Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on Monday (today) with the renewal of pledge to continue his mission till the liberation of Held Kashmir.

There will be official holiday across AJK to mark the death anniversary of the eminent Kashmiri leader of freedom struggle and the first supreme head of the AJK government.

Quran Khawani will be held in various parts of AJK territory, occupied state and different parts of the country for the departed soul. Special meetings will be held at various places in Azad Jammu Kashmir including Mirpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, Bagh, Sudhanoti and Rawalakot under the auspices of the All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference to pay glorious tributes to late leader for his remarkable services for the Kashmir freedom movement.

The major ceremony will be held at his shrine at Faizabad Rawalpindi under the auspices of Azad Jammu & Kashmir government. Top Kashmiri leaders; mostly belonging to the Muslim Conference including the Party-head and former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan will address the ceremony.

A large number of people from different parts of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan will visit the mausoleum and offer fateha for the departed soul besides offering special prayer for the early success of the Kashmir freedom movement and accession of entire Jammu Kashmir state to Pakistan.

In the special gatherings, speakers will pay glorious tributes to the founder leader of the Kashmir freedom movement and renew the pledge to follow in his footprints for the completion of his mission of the liberation of occupied Jammu Kashmir state from the Indian tyrannical rule.
