Danish envoy talks to TMUC students on learning opportunities

Islamabad-Ambassador of Denmark Rolf M Hey Holmboe visited The Millennium University College, Islamabad on Monday for a guest lecture on Pak-Denmark learning opportunities for youth, a press statement said.

The TMUC Founder and Chief Executive Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Dean of Academics Safia Farouqi and the staff welcomed the guest. Students from all disciplines, including University of London degree programmes, diplomas and professional qualifications attended the guest lecture.

Rolf while encouraging the students to pursue their education in Denmark informed them that with 99 per cent literacy rate, the Danish higher education system had been the third best in the world in 2015 with one of the highest GDP investment on education (6.5 per cent).

The lecture was followed by an interactive question-answer session, wherein the students posed various queries regarding studying in Denmark.

They also learnt about different aspects of the Danish economy, educational opportunities, visa and immigration policies, emerging renewable energy model, cultural features and quality of life.

While thanking Rolf for educating the students, Faisal Mushtaq personally encouraged the students to pursue higher studies in Denmark while emphasising the importance of foreign exposure for their future.

In the end, the dean of academics presented the TMUC memento to Rolf as a token of appreciation from the TMUC.

The TMUC has a mission and commitment to developing right set of skills, attitudes, knowledge and values within graduating the students so that they can confidently meet challenges of the 21st century, the statement concluded.
