Robbers held, bikes recovered

ISLAMABAD: Noon police have arrested two robbers and recovered two motorbikes, five mobile phones and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.

He said that special team working under supervision of SP Industrial Area nabbed two dacoits later identified as Kamran and Sajid. The police team recovered two pistols with ammunition, two motorbikes, one rickshaw and five cell phones from them. During the initial investigation, they confessed to have hired vehicles to commit the robberies. Police have obtained their physical remand from the court and further investigation is underway. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated the performance of the police team and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing against criminal elements. Meanwhile, Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad has arrested two outlaws Haibat Khan, a resident of sector G-9/3 and Tariq Hussain and recovered 25 liter wine and 1020 gram hashish from them. Following directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Kiani, SP (Investigation) constituted special teams to ensure arrest of those involved in criminal activities. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
