Bangladesh High Commission organises golf tournament

Islamabad – Defense Wing of Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad organised a ‘Friendship Golf Tournament-2017’  at Islamabad Golf Club to promote friendship and create bond among the diplomats in the city.

A total of 42 golfers including 7 women participated in the one day tournament.              

On the occasion, High Commissioner Tarik Ahsan said that sports and cultural activities were never limited by geography, nationality, religion, caste or creeds.

“Play golf and make friends, interestingly, has a resonance with the motto of Bangladesh foreign policy: Friendship to All and Malice to None,” he added. He said that Bangladesh was committed to contributing towards world peace by strengthening friendly ties with its neighbors’.

Prizes were distributed to the winners by the chief guest High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan Tarik Ahsanand and Acting Dean of Diplomatic Corps Ambassador of Tajikstan Sherali Jononov.
