Brother, sister gunned down

KARACHI – A young man and his sister were gunned down in outskirt of the city, here on Tuesday.

According to police, a young man namely, 26, Awal Sher, son of Meraak Khan, and his younger sister, 24, Taj Bibi were shot dead by unidentified assailants in their house located in Bilawal Shah Goth, Superhighway within the premises of Sacchal police station.

Police said that after being informed by the locals of the area police reached the site and shifted the victims to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. Police said that the  victims were hailed from Mehmand Agency while police believed that motive behind the double murder is personal dispute and might be close relatives of them were involved in the crime. However, further investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and Korangi Zone police of the city claimed to have arrested a gang, involved in breaking software of Iphone account Icloud.

According to CPLC officials, a case was reported in CPLC Korangi zone related to sale of snatched and theft mobile phones specially Iphone. A common belief was that Iphone being expensive phones usually in markets are sold after opening parts.

CPLC took initiative and looked in this matter seriously as it was observed that phones are unblocked and sold in market. Korangi Chief Zubair Chayya discussed this matter with SSP Korangi Noman Ahmed Siddiqui and formed a team to probe the issue.

After acquiring technical data raids were conducted and 3 people were arrested who were involved in unblocking and unlocking ICloud accounts of IPhones through software which they developed and also purchased a domain similar to Iphone domain from which they send unique links to owners to retrieve user ID and Passwords. Police also registered a case in Korangi Industrial Area police station for further investigation.
