Pindi bench told to decide Gul’s daughter case in two months

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed Rawalpindi bench to decide within two months a suit filed by daughter of late Hamid Gul seeking directives for the Punjab government for recovery of damages and compensation to the tune of Rs 2 billion. Uzma Gul appeared in person before Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah submitting that her suit had been pending for the last four years before a Rawalpindi bench. She pleaded the court her matter should be transferred to principal seat (Lahore) so that it could be decided without further delay.  She alleged that the Punjab government had illegally shut down her transport business in Rawalpindi. the CJ directed the Rawalpindi bench to decide case within two months and disposed of her petition –Staff Reporter
