Three officials held for corruption

GUJRANWALA – The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) claimed to have held three government officials for corruption here the other day.

ACE Regional Director Fareed Ahmed told media that a campaign against corrupt officials has been launched on the directions of Punjab ACE DG Brig (r) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha. He said on public complaints, an ACE team held Patwari Rizwan Tanvir for demanding bribes from people coming to him for resolution of their land-related issues. The team also caught, Abdul Mannan, employee at DC Narowal office, red-handed taking bribe from a citizen.

ACE Circle Officer Nasir Chattha arrested Assistant Sub Inspector Sardar Iqbal for keeping citizens in illegal hostage.
