‘No forum to address issues of overseas Pakistanis’

Islamabad – Chairman Board of Governors Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Amjad Malik said that there was no proper forum to address around nine million overseas Pakistanis throughout the world.

“There is a need to take measures to address the problems of overseas Pakistanis,” said Malik.

Addressing a ‘Meet The Press’ event at the National Press Club, Malik said that there was a need of proper training of community attaches to deal with the issues of overseas Pakistanis. He stressed the need for making separate bank for overseas Pakistanis.

“We have raised voice from our forum for nine million overseas Pakistanis,” he said, mentioning that a large number of women with children were languishing in jails of Saudi Arabia for lacking funds to pay the fine.  He lauded the media for highlighting the problems of overseas Pakistanis. To a question, the chairman said that they had arranged open courts in 23 countries. “It is our aim to do maximum for the overseas Pakistanis facing troubles due to different reasons,” he maintained.
