Balochistan celebrates Quaid’s birthday

QUETTA – Like other parts of the country, the 141st birthday of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was commemorated across Balochistan in a befitting manner to pay homage to nation’s hero.

Various ceremonies were held in connection with Quaid’s 141st birthday celebrations throughout the province while speakers paid glowing tributes to the Quaid.

As part of the celebrations, an impressive flag hoisting ceremony was held at Ziarat Residency where Chief Minister and provincial Cabinet, security officials alongwith tribal elite and students attended the function.

Due to security concerns, the markets in Forest Valley were sealed ahead of VIP movement which irked the people.

Paying tributes to Father of the Nation, Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said that it was Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who had built Pakistan after unparallel sacrifices.

“The Quaid had great love for Balochistan, therefore, he spent last days of his life in recreational location of Ziarat, he stated. The Chief Minister while mentioning the limitless natural resources of the province said that by tapping these resources we can make the country and nation prosperous.

He further said that govt has broken down the back of terrorists and it is the biggest triumph of government and security forces. He also commended the police jawans for action during the Quetta Methodist Church attack and lauded the morale of police and security forces.

Nawab Zehri also claimed that the law and order has improved in Balochistan. Provincial Ministers, MNA Abdul Qahar Wadan, Mayor Quetta Dr. Kalimullah Kakar, IG FC Major General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, IG Police Moazzam Jah Ansari and other high civil and military officers were also present.
