‘Pakistan only strategic partner of China’
ISLAMABAD: Vice-Chairman of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Zhang Ping, on Monday said that Pakistan is the only strategic partner and time-tested friend of China with an unrivalled importance in China’s strategic calculations.
While talking to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz, Ping said that the leadership of both the countries has demonstrated an unflinching resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations.
He said that the remarkable Speakers’ Conference has encouraged regional stakeholders to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation and connectivity to achieve sustainable peace and prosperity.
He reiterated that a vibrant Pak-China cooperation was central for tackling challenges in the region and beyond. He appreciated the initiative taken by the National Assembly speaker in organizing such an amazing event that reflected on promoting regional peace and interdependence among the neighbouring countries. He said that Pakistan was fully committed to the timely completion of all projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and appreciated the support of China for socio-economic development of Pakistan. Play ‘Quaid-e-Azam, Mera Khawab’ staged at RAC
Rawalpindi: As a part of birth anniversary celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) arranged a stage play ‘Quaid-e-Azam, Mera Khawab’.
The aim of the play was to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation. The play was written & directed by Riaz Saddique while acted by Naeem Khan, Saeed Anwar, Shagufta Qureshi, Ali Shan, Noor Ali, Amir Ch, and Shahzad Mughal. The theme of the play was younger generation who is not following the footsteps of great leader Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Member Punjab Assembly Tehseen Fawad was the chief guest accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Director RAC Waqar Ahmed.–Online
