PTI joins PAT in demand for Shahbaz, Sanaullah’s resignation
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday announced his party’s support to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in the latter’s movement against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
Addressing joint press conference alongside PAT chief Tahirul Qadri, Imran confirmed participation in an all parties conference on December 30.
“I have brought my whole team to accompany Tahirul Qadri and we will support him in whatever decision he makes,” he added.
The PTI chief claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for the killings during Model Town incident.
“The days of Sharif family are over.”
On his part, Qadri he said he has never been in a slight doubt regarding Nawaz Sharif’s involvement in Model Town massacre on June 17, 2014.
“The carnage in Model Town did not take place but with the consent of Nawaz Sharif,” he said adding Shehbaz Sharif was the one who formally ordered the carnage and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was the one who headed the execution.
Over a dozen workers of PAT were killed with several injured in the 2014 Model Town clashes after police launched operation against encroachments.
