Seven outlaws including drug peddlers arrested
Islamabad – The Crime Investigation Unit of Islamabad Police on Monday held four drug pushers involved in supplying drugs to the students of various educational institutions and recovered 1,120 grams of hashish from them, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman added that the police had accelerated efforts to curb the menace of drug supply to educational institutions. “One of the special teams headed by SP (Investigation) Zeeshan Haider raided the hide out of drug pushers and arrested persons identified as Imran. The team also arrested a drug pusher, identified as Younas, and recovered 215 grams of heroin from his possession, he said.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal of Bhara Kahu police arrested accused Malik Azkar and recovered 115 grams of heroin.
ASI Muhammad Faqir arrested accused Ali Turab and recovered one MP-5 rifle along with ammunition from him. ASI Ghulam Murtza of Shalimar Police arrested accused Nadeem and recovered 10 wine bottles from him.
Sub-Inspector Noor-Ul-Islam of Sabzi Mandi police arrested two accused Yasir Ali and Gul Nawaz and recovered 225 grams of hashish and one illicit pistol from their possession, the spokesman concluded.
