Tight security for Jadhav’s wife, mother

Rawalpindi – The security of twin cities was tightened on Monday upon arrival of the mother and spouse of Indian death row spy Kulbhushan Jadhav at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad Int’l Airport. The family of Indian spy including Avanti Jadhav (mother) and Chetnkul Jadhav (wife) reached BBIIAP at 11:45am from Dubai via Emirates Airline Flight Number EK-612. Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh was also accompanying the family. Officials of Foreign Office and other departments received the family and escorted the two women from Rawal Lounge of BBIIAP and taken to the capital amid tight security. Islamabad Expressway was closed for traffic movement whereas special pickets were also placed on exit and entry points of twin cities to check the vehicles. 

Pakistani Army’s troops, Quick Respond Force and personnel of intelligence agencies were also deployed along with route from BBIIAP to Foreign Office. Meanwhile, the Islamabad Traffic Police and administration also blocked roads leading to Foreign Office and the Diplomatic Enclave by placing barricades and sealed the Red Zone.

“As many as 500 police men have been deputed in Diplomatic Enclave and Red Zone to provide security to family of Indian spy,” a senior police officer told media.

After meeting with Kulbhushan Jadhav at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the family was drove to BBIIAP and flown to Dubai.
