Rally held to salute Quaid-i-Azam
SIALKOT-A Quaid-i-Azam Day Rally was taken out in Sialkot city by the PML-N workers with the participation of a large number of people from all walks of life.
The participants were carrying the national flags. They chanted Pakistan Zindabad slogans.
Addressing the participants, MNA Ch Armughan Subhani pledged to make efforts for making it prosperous as envisaged by the Father of The Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
An MPA said Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had released a special grant of Rs200 million for the construction of Kingra-Sialkot-Pasrur Road.
MPA Rana Liaqat Ali said that the construction work of the project would begin next year for providing better means of communication for the local people.
Meanawhie, seven labourers were injured seriously in a head-on collision between a vehicle and a coaster near Jassoraan, Pasrur tehsil on the main Sialkot-Pasrur Road.
Reportedly, the coaster of a local factory was bringing the workers to Sialkot factory from Zafarwal when a dumper vehicle badly hit it injuring seven labourers Khalid, Nasir, Iqbal, Mukhtar, Bashir, Ghulam Hussain and Jamshaid.
The rescuers of Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot in critical condition.
