Japanese FM to visit Pakistan on Jan 3

ISLAMABAD:- Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will visit Pakistan form January 3 to January 4, 2018, a statement released by the Japanese embassy here on Wednesday said.  This is the first visit of a Japanese foreign minister to Pakistan since 2009, the statement said. During his stay in Pakistan, the foreign minister will meet his counterpart, Khawaja Asif, and high dignitaries of Pakistan, and discuss matters of bilateral relations as well as regional and international situation, it said. “The Government of Japan is of the view that Pakistan plays an important role for peace and prosperity of the region and that coordination and cooperation between [the] two countries should be further promoted with this in mind.–Staff Reporter 

 

This visit is expected to reconfirm and strengthen the traditionally friendly relationships between Japan and Pakistan,” the statement said.
