Medical colleges fee case: SC accepts Asif Rajwana’s unconditional apology

Punjab governor’s son Ahsan Rajwana appeared before the court and offered an unconditional apology over his interference in the case. The bench accepted his apology.

Earlier Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar had summoned the son of governor of Punjab to appear in Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry in a case pertaining to high fee of medical colleges.

The CJP expressed annoyance over his call and asked how dare he telephoned female lawyer and talked on this issue.

The court also accepted unconditional apology of vice chancellor of Faisalabad University.

Sharif Medical Trust principal was scolded by the CJP for not attending yesterday’s hearing. He was directed to submit bank account details within seven days.

Earlier, the owners and CEOs of medical colleges appeared before the court today. During the hearing Justice Nisar observed that earlier he was told that maximum fee of private medical college in Rs 642,000 but today he was informed that it is as high as Rs 0.9 million.
