Police Khidmat Markaz opens
KASUR-The police service centres will prove to be a milestone in facilitating the masses and resolving their problems at the earliest under one roof.
This was stated by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura region Zulfiqar Hameed during an address to the inauguration ceremony of a police service centre at Kasur DPO office here on Wednesday.
Kasur DPO Zulfiqar Ahmed, SP (investigation) Amjad Mehmood Qureshi, traders, lawyers and mediamen attended the ceremony. The RPO said that people would be able to get police character certificate, FIR copy and driving licences from the police service centre. The centre would also facilitate people in registration of cases concerning different issues, he added.
Martyred soldier laid to rest
SARGODHA – A martyred Pakistan Army soldier was laid to rest here at Raitery village with full military honours on Wednesday.
Sajjad Hussain had embraced martyrdom in firing by Indian Border Security Force at Line of Control (LoC), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
People belonging to all walks of life including army officers and relatives of the martyr attended his funeral. They placed floral wreaths on his grave and prayed for rest of the departed soul in eternal peace.
