Purse snatching accused arrested

islamabad – The police claimed to have arrested the accused in a purse snatching case that had also compelled the police high ups to take strict action against the concerned police station’s in-charge.

The accused Shabbir Abbas, a student of Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi hails from Gilgit-Baltistan, according to the sources. He had, some days back, snatched purse from a female government official, Fareeha Bughti, in Super Market.

The accused was residing with his friends in sector I-10.

The police have also recovered the motorbike and weapon from the accused which he used against the government official. Further investigation is underway.
