Martyr’s family donates land for school

OKARA – Deputy Commissioner Saima Ahad and elderly mother of Squadron Leader Masood (Shaheed) laid foundation stone of the new building of District Public School (DPS) Basirpur here the other day.
The school covers 2.5 acres of land which was donated for the new school building by the family of Masood (Shaheed) in Basirpur. The building was named after Masood Shaheed. On the occasion, MPA Iftikhar Hussain Chachar, brother of Masood (Shaheed), said that students would be provided free education at the school.
A-Division police registered a dacoity case after six months here the other day.
Six months back, June 16, three dacoits entered the grocery store of Mehboob Alam at Kasur Town and looted thousands of rupees at gunpoint. Police registered a case the other day and started investigation. Citizens urged DPO Hassan Asad Alvi issue orders for immediate registration of cases so that investigation could be launched timely.
