Police register case 16 days after burglary

HAFIZABAD – Police registered a case 16 days after a house burglary despite repeated requests and protests, exposing the shabby thana culture amid tall government claims.
The burglars had made off with cash, gold ornaments and other articles worth more than Rs1.2 million. According to the house owner, the house, situated in Shoukat Colony was burgled when the owner along with other family members were away. The burglars took away 13 tola gold ornaments, cash amounting to Rs550,000 and other articles.
The affected person appealed to the RPO Gujranwala to order the police to ensure recovery of the booty and arrest the accused.
