Corps commander enquires after heart patient

LAHORE – Corps Commander Lieutenant General Amir Riaz inquired after 14-year- old heart patient Ahsan Hussain at Children’s Hospital on Friday.

The student of grade 9, a resident of Kamalia in Toba Tek Singh, has appealed Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Corps Commander Lahore to help him getting heart transplantation. Ahsan, the only child of his parents, expressed desire of meeting with military high ups in a video message made viral on social media.  The Corps Commander presented bouquet to the ailing child on behalf of COAS. He prayed for early recovery of the ailing child. The ailing child has been shifted to Combined Military Hospital. COAS is likely to fulfill wish of the child in next few days.  In the video message, the child said that 20% of his heart was functioning. He appealed to help as transplantation was unaffordable for his poor family.   “I urge all of you to support me and especially COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa uncle and Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Amir uncle to help me,” the boy said.
