President Bush concluded the invasion of Iraq by promising the Iraqi people that they would get a bright future in the form of democracy by ousting the Ba’ath Party. However, the peace achieved was only for a short period. Now, the life of Iraqi people was not only miserable but also in a state of uncertainty because of the sectarian violence.

After defeating the ISIS, the American leadership appears to be in the state of euphoria like it was fourteen years before. However, the administration does not understand that ISIS is not only a pseudo-state but also an insurgent group, and it will continue to haunt us. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is required to put the genie of ISIS in a bottle.
