Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Kashmore police chief Bashir Ahmed Brohi said that Station House Officer (SHO) Jamal Zahoor Ahmed Lashari and his team, on a tip-off, conducted raids in different areas of Jamal and its suburbs and took into custody Sabzal, son of Bagan Banglani. “While further investigation was underway,” he told media. Brohi said that his main focus would be to combat heinous crimes such as murders, kidnappings for ransom, robberies, particularly highway robberies, and other crimes which had paralysed the routine life of ordinary people. “Due to better policing, the crime rate has declined in the entire district, especially incidents of street crimes have registered a marked decline,” he added.

Replying to a question, he said that he regularly checked the records of most police stations himself. He also warned the inefficient police officials.
