Turkish team meets traffic DIG

LAHORE – DIG Traffic Police Punjab Muhammad Farooq Mazhar has said that a comprehensive strategy is being made with the consultation of Turkish experts for finding a permanent solution to traffic problems. He was talking ot a 12-member delegation from Turkey at Traffic Headquarters Friday. He said that through the new strategy, transport system, issues of parking, following of lane system and extinction of encroachments with other issues would be resolved. SSP Traffic Athar Waheed briefed the delegation about traffic management issues and other growing traffic problems of Lahore. The delegation was apprised that proposals of first delegation of Turkey had already become part of Lahore Traffic Management Plan and the Punjab government had started work in this regard. DIG Traffic thanked experts of Turkish delegation for their cooperation and acknowledged their efforts for reducing issues of Lahore Traffic and also improvement in solution to traffic issues. Later, the Turkish delegation visited Raasta Control and more suggestion for its betterment were sought from the visitors. SSP Investigation Ghulam Mubashir Maican, Chief Engineer TEPA Saifur Rehman and Additional Secretary Internal Security Home Department Dr Asif Tufail were also present in the meeting.
