Chinese woman injured as robbers break into house

Rawalpindi – A Chinese woman was shot injured by a gang of robbers during house robbery here in G-10/4, sources said on Saturday.

The armed robbers managed to escape by plundering Rs5,50,000 cash from the house where some 11 Chinese nationals were staying, they added. The injured Chinese lady was rushed to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment, where she was identified as Olexia, 35. A case was registered with Police Station Ramna with no arrest or recovery so far, the sources added.

According to the sources, a gang of three armed robbers broke into residence of Chinese nationals in G-10/4. Seeing the robbers, a Chinese lady started screaming on which the robbers opened firing at her. Resultantly, the Chinese lady got injured while the robbers looted Rs5,50,000 cash and managed to escape from the scene.

The sources said that on information, heavy contingent of police rushed to the house and shifted the injured lady to PIMS for treatment. Olexia was said to be associated as accountant with a cement manufacturing company at Dhoke Paracha, Rawalpindi.

A doctor of PIMS told media that condition of injured lady was out of danger as doctors were providing her adequate treatment.

SHO Police Station Ramna Irshad Abro was not available for his comments. 

On the other hand, two women were stabbed to death by unknown killers in limits of Police Station Jatli. The deceased were identified as Zainab and her daughter Natasha. Police shifted the bodies to hospital for post-mortem.

According to a police investigator, the deceased Natasha was staying in house of her parents after getting divorced from her husband. The reason behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, they said.

Similarly, Homicide Investigation Unit of Saddar Circle arrested a teenager on charges of murdering Rizwan, a Sepoy of Pakistan Army, whose body had been recovered from a housing society. The killer was identified as Mubshir.

Meanwhile, Golra police arrested two robbers and recovered a snatched vehicle from them, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

A complainant, Sarfraz, had informed the Golra police that two persons had booked his car for D-12 from G-10 but they snatched the car and cash from him on the way.

After the information, the police immediately informed Police Control Room and all policemen on patrolling at pickets were alerted.

Meanwhile, SP (Saddar) Aamir Niazi constituted a special team under supervision of SHO Golra Tanveer Abbassi and others which also started patrolling in the area.

The car was intercepted by head constables Abdul Sattar and Asif deputed at Shah Allah Dita police picket and succeeded to arrest two robbers identified as Ummat Yar Gul and Hashmat Kareem.

The police also recovered cash from them while further investigation is underway.

SSP (Operations) Sajid Kinai appreciated performance of the cops and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the policemen. He directed the cops for high vigilance in their areas.
