State minister claims govt achieved uplift targets
APP/FAISALABAD-State Minster for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal on Saturday said that the government has successfully achieved its development targets during the last four years.
He was addressing a reception held in his honour at Clock Tower Chowk. PML-N leaders including Khawaja Muhammad Islam, Dr Najma Afzal, Sheraz Kahlon, workers, and a large number of people were also present.
The state minister said that through revolutionary policies the country has been put on the road to progress and prosperity. The PML-N also came to power with overwhelming support of voters and now it would again make government with heavy mandate of the masses, he said.
He said that the country has made unprecedented development during Nawaz Sharif’s regime. “Now we are trying to revive the industrial process in the country,” he claimed.
“A huge investment under CPEC is outcome of visionary leadership of Nawaz Sharif but the anti-government elements are trying to sabotage this mega project for their ulterior motives,” he asserted. Rana Afzal said that people of Faisalabad are witness to development of the city while the government is committed to launch more development projects in this hub of textile.
“Problems being confronted by the business community will be resolved on war footing while all-pout resources will be utilised for welfare of the common man,” he claimed.
Earlier, on his arrival in Faisalabad after taking oath of his portfolio, State Minister for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan was also accorded a rousing reception at Kamalpur Interchange from where he was drove to Ghanta Ghar Chowk in a big procession.
3,280 ANIMALS BEING DISTRIBUTED
As many as 3,280 milch animals are being distributed among deserving widows of the rural areas in Faisalabad division in the next phase through balloting.
A ceremony was held at Hockey Ground Tandlianwala for distributing 248 buffaloes and cows among the deserving widows of tehsil Tandlianwala and Samundri.
Faisalabad DC Salman Ghani was chief guest on the occasion, while parliamentarians – Jaffar Ali Hocha, Arif Mehmood Gill, Director General Livestock Dr Ghulam Muhammad Gill, AC Tandilianwala Abdul Razzaq Dogar, Director Livestock Dr Muhammad Nawaz Malik, Chairman Municipal Committee Tandlianwala Ch M Saeed, Additional Director Livestock Dr Saleha Gull, Assistant Director Dr Abdul Majid, Dr Atta Subhani, Dr Mudassar Zaidi, Dr Atiq, Dr Fareeha and others officers of the Livestock Department were also present.
Director Livestock Dr Muhammad Nawaz Malik said that during the second phase, in each district 820 big animals have been distributing and 135 and 113 cows and buffalos are distributed in tehsil Tandlianwala and Samundri, respectively.
