Coffee shop with a thoughtful menu

LAHORE   –   Park Lane Hotel has created an atmosphere of effortless indulgence; a sanctuary for everyone who approaches life in a more playful way.

Situated in the centre of Lahore, Park Lane is closer to high end designer boutiques than the rest of the food cafes.

Offering a wide selection of mouth-watering dishes, prepared at live cooking stations by renowned chefs recipes offered in the coffee lounge is something to suit every mood and taste.

The coffee is indeed pricey, but its quality justifies the expense. Smooth and velvety, the coffee is rich without any trace of bitterness or acidity. The entire lounge is infused with the delicious aroma of this brew.

The food menu is thankfully not too extensive with pages of very similar offerings. Rather, it is thoughtful and selective, including snacks that complement the coffee with the requisite salt crunch and fat combo.

The first recipe we tried from the Coffee lounge was the Monte Carlo Sandwich. The bread was butter soaked topped with its main ingredient potato marinated with chicken and spices with a boiled egg on top. The recipe was served with fresh veggies and variety of sauces including tartar, barbeque and seven seas—a hot alternative to the usual lunch or snack. Try it with berry jam on the side.

The next recipe we tried from the menu was the sizzling chocolate brownie. The brownie was chewy and soft, topped with vanilla ice cream scoop served on a hot plate. The chocolate sauce starts to sizzle as soon as it’s poured on the hot plate. The aroma of sizzling chocolate sauce will make you go crazy. So make sure you plate it just before you are ready to serve to impress your guests or your loved ones.

The cafe also features a live station serving Eggs Benedict, waffles and scrambled eggs for breakfast, and chipotle chicken and Cuban chicken sandwiches, chicken lasagne and two different kinds of pasta from noon onwards.
